Mark Escueta
Mark Edward Penabella Escueta (; born 9 January 1976) is a Filipino musician and one of the founding members of the Filipino rock band Rivermaya. Escueta has been the only constant member of Rivermaya since its inception in 1994. Early life Escueta is the eldest of four siblings. He has two younger brothers and one sister. Escueta finished high school at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and took Business Administration major in Computer Applications at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. His father is lawyer Eduardo U. Escueta, a retired official of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM). Escueta's family originally hails from Tiaong, Quezon. Musical career Rivermaya (1994-present) Escueta began playing drums at the age of 13. He entered the Philippine music industry when he became the drummer of the band Bazurak where one of his bandmates, Nathan Azarcon was the bass player. Free (Rivermaya Album)
''Free'', is the fifth studio album from the Filipino rock band, Rivermaya. It has 10 tracks and was released on August 30, 2000 by the band independently, literally given away for free which is another first for any Filipino artist or artist previously signed with a major label. “Free” was also named Album of the Year in the NU Rock Awards 2000. This was the last album to feature Nathan Azarcon who left the band in 2001, he eventually returned in 2016. The song "Imbecillesque" was re-released on their 2005 EP entitled "You'll Be Safe Here". The song "Straight No Chaser" was later covered by actor and reggae artist Boy2 Quizon. ''It's Not Easy Being Green'' is the fourth studio album by Filipino rock band Rivermaya. released on January 14, 1999. The album features singles like "''Nerbyoso''" (Nervous), Rodeo, and Shattered Like. It is the first album after Bamboo Mañalac's departure. This is also their first album with Rico Blanco as the lead vocalist. It is also the last album they recorded for BMG Records Pilipinas. ''Atomic Bomb'' is the third studio album by Filipino rock band Rivermaya. It has 16 tracks and was released by BMG Records (Pilipinas) Inc. on 31 January 1997. It was reported that the album had gone gold before it hit the stores on January 31. Basing on initial orders from Metro Manila record bars, BMG shipped out 25,000 cassettes. Perfecto "Perf" de Castro (born August 14, 1974) is a Filipino musician currently based in Los Angeles, California best known for having been a celebrated fixture in the Philippine alternative rock scene during the 1990s.
