Mark Davies (cricketer, Born 1980)
Mark Davies (born Anthony Mark Davies, 4 October 1980) is an English former first-class cricketer who played for Durham County Cricket Club and, briefly, Kent County Cricket Club. He bowled right-arm medium-pace and batted in the tail. In December 2009, he was called up from the England Lions into the full England squad, to cover for injuries to other bowlers during the tour of South Africa. Davies suffered many injuries during his career. In September 2014, he was forced to retire from all forms of cricket after failing to recover from a shoulder injury picked up in a pre-season fixture. County career Born in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England, Davies made his List A debut in 1998, and his first-class debut in 2002. He has represented England under-19s. Stockton-on-Tees
Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty. Steve Harmison
Stephen James Harmison, (born 23 October 1978) is an English former first-class cricketer, who played all formats of the game. Primarily a fast bowler, he represented England in 63 Tests, 58 ODIs, and 2 T20s. He also played county cricket for Durham and Yorkshire. He made his Test and ODI debut for England in 2002, and achieved modest success in these early stages of his career, showing promise as a capable strike bowler for England. This was borne out during the tour of the West Indies in 2003–04, where he produced some of his finest bowling and went on to become the highest wicker-taker in the series. He followed it up by playing a vital role in England's victory in the 2005 Ashes series, and was selected as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2005. Andrew Davies (footballer)
Andrew John Davies (born 17 December 1984) is a former English professional footballer who played as a centre back. Originally signing with Middlesbrough as a 13-year-old, Davies has played for 11 clubs at a variety of levels. He was loaned to Queens Park Rangers, Derby County and Southampton, signing with the latter after leaving Middlesbrough. Davies then played for Stoke City, Preston North End, Sheffield United, Walsall, Middlesbrough for a second time, Crystal Palace and Bradford City. In 2015, he moved to Scotland, signing with Ross County. Davies helped County win the 2015–16 Scottish League Cup, but left the club after they were relegated in 2018.
