Songs Of Worship
A song is a musical composition intended to be performed by the human voice. This is often done at distinct and fixed pitches (melodies) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs contain various forms, such as those including the repetition and variation of sections. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally "by ear" are often referred to as folk songs. Songs that are composed for professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows to the mass market are called popular songs. These songs, which have broad appeal, are often composed by professional songwriters, composers, and lyricists. Art songs are composed by trained classical composers fo ...

Miracle (Third Day Album)
''Miracle'' is the eleventh studio album by Christian rock band Third Day. This album released on Essential Records label, and it was produced by Brendan O'Brien. The album sold 29,000 copies in its debut week. The lead single from this album is " I Need a Miracle", which has had chart success. Background Tai Anderson told ''CCM Magazines Caroline Lusk that the album was produced January through June 2012, and that it "'ended up in a great place. It's fresh. It's a place we haven't been before. For us, that's a pretty big accomplishment. There are a lot of good Third Day cover bands out there. We don't want to be one of them. We want to sound new and fresh. It's what our fans deserve.'" In so doing, the band worked with Brendan O'Brien to produce the album after meeting him the year before, and O'Brien said that he "'love the band, love the songs I'm hearing. Let's go make this record.'" Anderson stated that "'We were not excited about making this'...'We were tired, on the third le ...

Move (Third Day Album)
''Move'' is the tenth studio album by Christian rock band Third Day. Released on October 19, 2010, the album was the band's first after guitarist Brad Avery left Third Day. The band wanted the album to be a departure from the modern rock stylings of ''Revelation'' (2008), intending to show more of their southern rock roots. Third Day chose to work with producer Paul Moak on the album and recorded it at their own studio, feeling it offered them more creative freedom. Primarily a southern rock album, ''Move'' also has significant influence from gospel music. ''Move'' received positive reviews from music critics, many of whom praised the album's southern rock sound. It was nominated for multiple awards at the 42nd GMA Dove Awards, winning in the Recorded Music Packaging of the Year category. It sold 37,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at number nine on the ''Billboard'' 200, number one on the '' Billboard'' Christian Albums chart, and number three on the ''Bil ...

Revelation (Third Day Album)
''Revelation'' is the ninth studio album by American Christian rock band Third Day, released on July 29, 2008. The album was produced by Howard Benson, who had decided to work with the band after rock singer Chris Daughtry drew attention to lead singer Mac Powell's vocal ability. Although they were initially uncomfortable working with Benson, Third Day achieved a positive working relationship with Benson, who felt that their different religious beliefs made them challenge each other in a way reflected in the record. In recording ''Revelation'', Third Day aimed to produce a southern rock album while being more creative musically; the band felt the end result was their best record to date. As a whole, the album is noted as adopting a heavier and edgier rock sound than Third Day's previous adult contemporary-projects such as '' Wherever You Are'' (2005), while the album's lyrics reflect Christian themes. The album features guest appearances from Chris Daughtry, Lacey Mosley of alter ...

Wire (Third Day Album)
''Wire'' is the seventh album by Christian rock band Third Day. It breaks from the style of the band's previous albums to return to simple, rock and roll-driven melodies. To quote Allmusic's review of the album, "Third Day has stripped away the shine and gotten back to the grittiness of being a rock & roll band." The album is largely carried by the energetic guitar riffs that pervade its songs, although the forceful lyrics also contribute significantly. The album's songs deal with numerous themes. "Wire", the title track, is a song about the pressure to succeed in modern society. "I Believe", "I Got a Feeling", "Innocent", and other tracks deal with sin, faith, and renewal from a Christian perspective. "Billy Brown" is a song that explores the readiness of people to follow and even idolize entertainment figures. In November 2004, a live version of ''Wire'' was released, called '' Live Wire'' featuring a DVD and CD of songs from their tour of their latest album. The album won ...

In a 2017 interview with ''Billboard'', Howie Dorough discussed how the song was particularly significant to him:My sound wasn’t exactly the lead-person sound for the group with these songs.
