Mark Coles
Mark Justin Coles (born 1968/1969) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former player. He has served as head coach of the Pakistan women's national cricket team since 2023, his second tenure with the team. He has also coached the Scotland women's team and the Papua New Guinea men's team. Playing career Coles played cricket for Wellington College First XI, and between 1992 and 1996, he was in the Wellington squad, making three appearances for the Second XI in the Provincial A tournament.Mark Coles CricketArchive. Northern Districts Men's Cricket Team
The Northern Districts men's cricket team are one of six New Zealand first-class cricket teams that make up New Zealand Cricket. They are based in the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand (excluding Auckland). They compete in the Plunket Shield first-class competition, the Ford Trophy domestic one-day competition and the Men's Super Smash T20 competition as the Northern Brave. The T20 team was previously known as the Northern Knights until the 2021–22 season, when both the men's and women's teams were rebranded under the same name. Northern Districts, the last of the six current teams to attain first-class status, joined the Plunket Shield competition in 1956–57. 2021 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played in August 2021 in Spain. The matches were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with the top team progressing to the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. Originally scheduled to take place in Scotland, the tournament was moved to the La Manga Club, Spain, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. France and Turkey were both scheduled to make their debuts at an ICC women's event. However, on 25 August 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that Turkey had withdrawn from the tournament, as they were unable to get approval to travel from the Turkish Sports Ministry. 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup
The 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. It was held in Australia between 21 February and 8 March 2020. The final took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on International Women's Day. Hosts Australia won the tournament, beating India by 85 runs, to win their fifth title. It was a standalone tournament, the men's tournament was initially held eight months ahead of the schedule, but would be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia were the defending champions, and lost their opening match of the tournament against India. Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members. The first Twenty20 International match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand, six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams. The ICC Women's World Twenty20, the highest-level event in the format, was first held in 2009. In April 2018, the ICC granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Women's One Day International
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016. WODI status is determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was restricted to full members of the ICC. In May 2022, the ICC awarded WODI status to five more teams.
