Mark Carnevale
Mark Kevin Carnevale (born May 21, 1960) is an American professional golfer and commentator for PGA Tour Radio. Carnevale was born in Annapolis, Maryland, where his father, Ben, was the head basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy. He attended Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, and later was a standout golfer at James Madison University. He turned professional in 1983. It took Carnevale almost a decade to reach the top level, but in 1992 he won the PGA Tour's Chattanooga Classic and was the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year; however, he never established himself as a regular high finisher at the elite level. He spent time on the second tier tour, where he won the 1997 Nike Inland Empire Open. In 2003, he became tournament director of the Nationwide Tour's Virginia Beach Open. Annapolis, Maryland
Annapolis ( ) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Maryland and the county seat of, and only incorporated city in, Anne Arundel County. GTE Byron Nelson Golf Classic
The AT&T Byron Nelson is a golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, currently hosted by TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, northeast of Dallas. Held in May, it is one of two PGA Tour stops in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex – which until the 2020-21 PGA Tour, was the only metropolitan area to host two events on separate courses in the area (Las Vegas, Nevada and Savannah, Georgia have since hosted two events on two separate courses). The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA Tour and has raised more than $143 million. For much of its history, it was the only PGA Tour stop named after a professional golfer, and remains one of only two such events, along with the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. PGA Championship
The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. It was formerly played in mid-August on the third weekend before Labor Day weekend, serving as the fourth and final men's major of the golf season. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Virginia Open is the Virginia state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Virginia State Golf Association and the Middle Atlantic section of the PGA of America. David Jackson (golfer)
David Alan Jackson (born June 3, 1964) is an American professional golfer and former PGA Tour member. Jackson was born in Valdosta, Georgia. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for the Florida Gators men's golf team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 1983 to 1986. During his college career, he was a two-time individual medalist, the Gators won the Southeastern Conference (SEC) team championship in 1985, and he was a first-team All-SEC selection three times (1984, 1985, 1986). Jackson also received All-American honors four times. He graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science in 1986. David Ogrin
David Ogrin (born December 31, 1957) is an American professional golfer. Ogrin was born and grew up in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from Waukegan East High School in 1976, then attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1980 with a degree in economics. In 1980, he won the Illinois Open and the Illinois State Amateur tournament, something not done again until 2017. He turned professional in 1980. Ogrin played on the PGA Tour from 1983 to 1999. In over 500 starts, he had 32 top-10 finishes including a win at the 1996 LaCantera Texas Open. He also played on the Nationwide Tour where his best finish was a T-3 at the 1993 NIKE Connecticut Open Ogrin joined the Champions Tour in 2008. Yoshi Mizumaki
is a Japanese professional golfer. Mizumaki, graduate of Hosei University, played on the Japan Golf Tour, winning seven times. He also played on the PGA Tour in 1994 and 1995.
