Mark Brown (born 28 February 1981) is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Brown played for both Old Firm clubs, Rangers and Celtic, and also played for Motherwell, Inverness CT, Kilmarnock, Hibernian, Ross County and Dumbarton. Brown represented Scotland B twice, during his time with Inverness. Club career Early career Brown, a goalkeeper, started his career with Rangers, where he made just five first team appearances as a young player, before moving on to Motherwell. Brown made 19 appearances with Motherwell before the club's financial difficulties forced them into administration; Brown was one of 19 players released by the club to lessen its wage bill. Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Geographically the River Clyde separates Motherwell from Hamilton to the west whereas the South Calder Water separates Motherwell from Carfin to the north-east and New Stevenston and Bellshill towards the north. Motherwell is also geographically attached to Wishaw and the two towns form a large urban area in North Lanarkshire, with both towns having similar populations and strong community ties. John Hughes (footballer Born 1964)
John "Yogi" Hughes (born 9 September 1964) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player. Hughes played primarily as a central defender for several clubs, including Falkirk (two spells), Celtic, Hibernian and Ayr United. Towards the end of his playing career, Hughes took on coaching responsibilities, and was appointed manager of Falkirk in 2003 (initially as co-manager with Owen Coyle). Hughes guided the club to promotion to the Scottish Premier League and a Scottish Cup Final during his time in charge. He eventually left Falkirk to take up the managerial role at Hibernian in 2009, but left by mutual consent after sixteen months. Hughes was appointed manager of Livingston in February 2012, but left in November to take over at English club Hartlepool United. Graham Stack (footballer)
Graham Christopher Stack (born 26 September 1981) is a professional football coach and former player, currently working as Goalkeeping Coach. Stack played as a goalkeeper for Arsenal, Beveren, Millwall, Reading, Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Plymouth Argyle, Blackpool, Hibernian, Barnet, Kerala Blasters and Eastleigh. He also played in under-21 internationals for the Republic of Ireland. Club career Arsenal Stack joined Arsenal in summer 1998, and signed his first professional contract in July 2000. In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. How it works The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract, hence, the term free transfer. Some individual leagues have restrictions to protect academies. For example, in the UK, players under 24 who are out of contract are only available on a free transfer if released by the club holding the players' licence. Alan Combe
Alan Combe (born 3 April 1974) is a Scottish football coach and former player who is goalkeeping coach for Dundee. He played as a goalkeeper for Cowdenbeath, St Mirren, Dundee United, Bradford City and Kilmarnock. He has previously worked as a goalkeeping coach for Alloa Athletic, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian and Cove Rangers. Club career Combe was born in Edinburgh. He was Kilmarnock's regular goalkeeper until he suffered a serious hip injury early in the 2009–10 season. He was released by Kilmarnock on 31 January 2011. Łukasz Załuska (; born 16 June 1982) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. After playing for Stomil Olsztyn, Legia Warsaw, Jagiellonia Białystok (on loan) and Korona Kielce in Poland, Załuska continued his career in Scotland, joining Dundee United in 2007. Dominic Cervi (born July 9, 1986) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. Personal life Cervi grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. He played eight seasons for his youth club, Norman Celtic '86. He attended Norman North High School, where he played soccer for all four years. Artur Boruc
Artur Boruc (; born 20 February 1980) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He began his career in the Polish third division with hometown club Pogoń Siedlce. He joined Ekstraklasa team Legia Warsaw in 1999 and, whilst still a reserve, had a spell on loan at Dolcan Ząbki in 2000. Boruc broke through to the Legia first team in 2002 and by 2003 had become the club's first choice goalkeeper. In the summer of 2005, he joined Scottish Premier League side Celtic.
