Mark Bradley (historian)
Mark Anthony Bradley (born January 29, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver and punt returner who played five seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oklahoma. Bradley also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New Orleans Saints. Bradley's father, Danny Bradley, played for the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions. His mother Deborah Perry raised him in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Professional career Pre-draft Chicago Bears Due to a season-ending injury against the Detroit Lions, Bradley was a small part of the Bears 2005 offense, starting only eight games, and recording just 18 receptions for 230 yards. 2005 NFL Draft
The 2005 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The NFL draft, draft was held April 23–24, 2005 NFL season, 2005. Marcus Hamilton (American Football)
Marcus Christopher David Hamilton (born February 17, 1984) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia. Hamilton was also a member of the Chicago Bears and Las Vegas Locomotives. Early years Marcus Hamilton played high school football at Centreville High School in Clifton, Virginia. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. 2006 Chicago Bears Season
The 2006 season was the Chicago Bears' 87th in the National Football League (NFL). The team improved on their 11–5 record from 2005 and finished with a 13–3 record; the best in the NFC. The Bears retained their NFC North divisional title, and won the NFC Championship against the New Orleans Saints, on January 21, 2007. The Bears played the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLI, where they lost 29–17. They finished the 2006 NFL season tied for second in points scored, and third in points allowed. Bernard Berrian
Bernard Berrian (born December 27, 1980) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Berrian also played for the Minnesota Vikings. Early years Berrian was born in Spain, and grew up in Winton, California, while both of his parents served at Castle Air Force Base. Berrian attended Atwater High School in Atwater, California, where he played football and basketball and ran track. He was named Modesto Bee player of the year in 1998. He was known as an explosive two-way starter for Atwater High School, which went 13-1 his senior year, after he caught 53 passes for 1,276 yards and 16 touchdowns. In sports, offense (American spelling) or offence ( Commonwealth spelling, see spelling differences; pronounced with first-syllable stress; from Latin '' offensus''), known as attack outside of North America, is the action of attacking or engaging an opposing team with the objective of scoring points or goals. The term may refer to the tactics involved in offense, or a sub-team whose primary responsibility is offense. Generally, goals are scored by teams' offenses, but in sports such as American football it is common to see defenses and special teams (which serve as a team's offensive unit on kicking plays and defensive on returning plays) score as well. 2005 Chicago Bears Season
The 2005 season was the Chicago Bears' 86th in the National Football League (NFL). The team improved to an 11–5 record from a 5–11 record in 2004, earning them their first playoff birth and NFC North title since 2001 and the second seed in the NFC for the playoffs. The season started off with the team trying to rebound from a 5–11 season under now coach Lovie Smith. Smith, in his first year with the Bears, had been eager to lead his young team to a Super Bowl, but a preseason injury to starting quarterback Rex Grossman spelled disaster for the Bears. The 2005 Bears started the season slowly, winning only one of their first four games. Despite their poor passing game, the Bears managed to win eight consecutive games, through perseverance on defense and a solid running game. The NFL Scouting Combine is a week-long showcase occurring every February at Lucas Oil Stadium (and formerly at the RCA Dome until 2008) in Indianapolis, where college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of National Football League coaches, general managers, and scouts.
