Mark Aguhar
Mark Cagaanan Aguhar (May 16, 1987 – March 12, 2012) was an American activist, writer and multimedia fine artist known for her multidisciplinary work about gender, beauty and existing as a racial minority, while being body positive and transgender femme-identified. Aguhar was made famous by her Tumblr blog that questioned the mainstream representation of the "glossy glorification of the gay white male body". Life Aguhar was born May 16, 1987 in Houston, Texas in a Filipino American family. She attended the University of Texas at Austin. Aguhar's works include performance-based pieces, watercolors, collages, and photography. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (born Neil Andrew Megson; 22 February 1950 – 14 March 2020) was a singer-songwriter, musician, poet, performance artist, visual artist, and occultist who rose to notoriety as the founder of the COUM Transmissions artistic collective and lead vocalist of seminal industrial band Throbbing Gristle. Pierre Molinier (April 13, 1900 – March 3, 1976) was a French painter, photographer and "maker of objects". Biography and works Born in Agen, France, he lived his life in Bordeaux. Greer Lankton (April 21, 1958 – November 18, 1996), was an American artist known for creating lifelike sewn dolls that were often modeled on friends or celebrities and posed in elaborate theatrical settings. Sasha Wortzel is an artist, filmmaker, educator, and activist, based in New York City. She is the writer, director, and producer of ''Happy Birthday, Marsha!'' with Tourmaline. Tourmaline (born 1983; formerly known as Reina Gossett) is an American artist, filmmaker, activist, editor, and writer. She is a transgender woman who identifies as queer. Tourmaline is most notable for her work in transgender activism and economic justice, through her work with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Critical Resistance and Queers for Economic Justice. Chloe Dzubilo (December 5, 1960 – February 18, 2011) was an American artist, musician, and transgender activist. She was born in Connecticut. Dzubilo was a fixture of the 1980s and 1990s New York City club and art scene: she briefly worked at Studio 54, was an editor at the East Village Eye, worked with Blacklips Performance Cult at the Pyramid Club, and she was the lead singer and songwriter of the punk band Transisters, who performed at CBGB's. Vaginal Davis (born in Los Angeles, California) is an American performing artist, painter, independent curator, composer, filmmaker and writer.
