Mark Achbar
Mark Achbar (born in Ottawa in 1955) is a Canadian filmmaker, best known for '' The Corporation'' (2003) and '' Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media'' (1994). Biography Achbar is a graduate of Syracuse University's Fine Arts Film Program. He interned in Hollywood on the children's TV programme Bill Daily's Hocus Pocus Gang, followed by a three-year stint in Toronto with Sunrise Films on their documentary series Spread your Wings and the CBC/Disney series ''Danger Bay''. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. The director has a key role in choosing the cast members, production design and all the creative aspects of filmmaking. Jennifer Abbott (born January 8, 1965) is a Sundance Film Festival, Sundance and Genie Awards, Genie award-winning film film director, director, film editor, writer, editor, producer and sound designer who specializes in social justice and environmental documentaries. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Abbott studied political science with a particular interest in radical political thought, women's studies and deep ecology at McGill University. Carl Fredrik (von) Gertten (born 3 April 1956 in Malmö) is a Swedish filmmaker, producer and journalist. In 2017, he was appointed as an honorary doctor at Malmö University. He is a brother to the documentary filmmaker Magnus Gertten. In 1994, he founded WG Film, a production company based in Malmö. Nowadays, he combines filmmaking with his role as a creative producer. Denis Delestrac is a French director and producer who is best known for creating feature-length investigative documentaries. His films focus on the ecological, social, and political impacts of natural resources. His film Sand Wars received international attention and influenced the United Nations Environmental Program to write a report on sand scarcity in 2019. He has won over 30 international prizes and became a member of the European Film Academy in 2017.
