Piotrków Trybunalski
Piotrków Trybunalski (; also known by #Etymology, alternative names), often simplified to Piotrków, is a city in central Poland with 71,252 inhabitants (2021). It is the second-largest city situated in the Łódź Voivodeship. Previously, it was the capital of an independent Piotrków Voivodeship (1975–1998); it is now the capital of Piotrków County. Founded in the late Middle Ages, Piotrków was once a Royal city in Poland, royal city and an important place in Polish history; the first Sejm of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, parliament sitting was held here in the 15th century. ''Camouflage'' ( pl, Barwy ochronne) is a 1977 Polish drama film directed by Krzysztof Zanussi. The film was selected as the Polish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 50th Academy Awards, but was not accepted for nomination.Margaret Herrick Library, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Plot Students are staying at a summer linguistics study camp. One of the directors, Jaroslaw, is young and prefers a direct, informal approach. He is opposed by the manipulative Jakub. For example, Jaroslaw allows a dissident student to participate. ''Alchemik (film)'' is a Polish horror film written and directed by Jacek Koprowicz. It was released in 1988. Plot An alchemist Sendivius, arrives at king Fryderyk's court, and claims that he possesses a recipe for the transmutation of base metals into gold. He claims that the transmutation emits poisonous gasses, and asks everybody to leave the room. After some time Sendivus arrives with gold, which he falsely claims to be the result of transmutation. As a reward, he asks the king to release an imprisoned alchemist Tomasz Seton, who is in the possession of a real transmutation recipe. Seton is freed, however, he is already in agony and can't tell anything of value to Sendivus. The only hope of Sendivus is finding the wife of Seton, a satanist Teresa Seton, who might be in the possession of the recipe.
