Marit Arnstad
Marit Arnstad (born 4 May 1962) is a Norwegian lawyer and politician for the Centre Party. She is currently the party’s parliamentary leader since 2014, having previously held the office from 2003 to 2005. Arnstad was the Norwegian Minister of Transport from 2012 to 2013 and Minister of Petroleum and Energy from 1997 to 2000. Early and personal life Arnstad was born in Stjørdal, and is the daughter of tax assessor and farmer Arne Arnstad and nurse Aasta Auran, and twin sister of Eli Arnstad. She is also the sister-in-law of Iwar Arnstad, and cousin of Ellen Arnstad. The Arnstad family from Arnstad vestre at Skatval has fostered several Centre Party politicians since the interwar period. Odd Roger Enoksen
Odd Roger Enoksen (born 25 September 1954 in Å, Andøy) is a Norwegian politician representing the Norwegian Centre Party. He served as minister of defence from 2021 to 2022. He was also leader of the Centre Party from 1999 to 2003. Further, he served as minister of local government and deputy to the prime minister from 1999 to 2000, and minister of petroleum and energy from 2005 to 2007. Lars Peder Brekk (born 8 October 1955) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. He was private secretary to the Minister of Fisheries 1985-1986, and himself Minister of Fisheries in 2000. He was elected to parliament in 2005 and served as Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2008 to 2012. He was acting leader of the Centre Party from June to September 2008. Biography Brekk was born and grew up in Vikna of accountant and manager Asbjørn L. Brekk (1926–) and bookkeeper Ragnhild Kirkeby-Garstad (1935–). Aged 15, he joined the Centre Youth. A safe seat is an electoral district (constituency) in a legislative body (e.g. Congress, Parliament, City Council) which is regarded as fully secure, for either a certain political party, or the incumbent representative personally or a combination of both. In such seats, there is very little chance of a seat changing hands because of the political leanings of the electorate in the constituency concerned and/or the popularity of the incumbent member. 2013 Norwegian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 8 and 9 September 2013 to elect all 169 members of the unicameral Storting. The centre-right coalition obtained 96 seats, while the incumbent red–green coalition government obtained 72 seats and the Green Party obtained one. The Labour Party won the largest share (30.8%) of the votes cast, with the Conservatives coming second (26.8%), after increasing its share by 9.6 percentage points. Elections in Norway are held on a Monday in September, usually the second or third Monday, as determined by the king-in-council (i.e. the government). Stjørdal () or is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Stjørdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Stjørdal, also called Stjørdalshalsen.
