Marist High School (Georgia)
Marist School is a private Catholic school located in Brookhaven, Georgia, United States, north of the city of Atlanta. Founded in 1901, it is operated independently of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. History Marist School was founded by the Society of Mary (Marists) in 1901, opening its doors on October 2 of that year. The school originated as the boys' military school Marist College High School, and was located in a three-story schoolhouse on Ivy Street, now called Peachtree Center Avenue, in downtown Atlanta. In the 1940s, while it was a military school, the boys wore a blue military uniform with a soft cap, and performed a marching drill routine on the field, which was next to the school and in front of the Sacred Heart Catholic School. Brookhaven is a city in the northeastern suburbs of Atlanta that is located in western DeKalb County, Georgia, DeKalb County, Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia, United States, directly northeast of Atlanta. Kyle Hamilton (born March 16, 2001) is an American football safety for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Greece while his father, Derrick Hamilton, played European league basketball. James Kyle Farmer (born August 17, 1990) is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds. Andrew John Economos (born June 24, 1982) is a former American football long snapper. He played college football at Georgia Tech and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2005. Economos was also a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. High school career Economos graduated from Atlanta's Marist High School and was a letterman in football, basketball, hockey and baseball. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
