Ana María Arroyo Mariscal (31 July 1923 – 28 March 1995) better known as Ana Mariscal was a classic Spanish film actress, director, screenwriter and film producer. She also acted in Argentinean films. She was involved in well over 50 films between 1940 and 1968, frequently starring in films she also wrote and directed. She is iconic to 1940s and 50s Spanish cinema. Her brother Luis Arroyo (1915–1956) was also an actor and film director. Early life and education Mariscal was born in Madrid in 1923 to a middle-class family. Her father owned a furniture store and a theater that would provide Mariscal much of her early exposure to acting. Antonio Gerardo Mariscal Abascal (2 July 1915 – 29 October 2010) was a lawyer and Olympic-level diver from Mexico, who is considered by the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) as a pioneer of Mexican sport. In 1931, he won the National Diving Championship. He and his older brothers Alonso and Federico achieved Olympic history at the 1932 Olympics. They are the only three brothers to have competed in the same diving event. Effective with the 1948 Summer Olympics, the IOC has restricted that a country can have only two representatives in any single diving event. At the 1932 Olympics, he finished 12th in the 3m Springboard. His younger brother Diego competed at the 1948 Olympics. Ignacio Mariscal (Oaxaca, Mexico July 5, 1829 – Mexico City April 17, 1910) was a Mexican liberal lawyer, politician, writer, and diplomat. He was named Secretary of Foreign Affairs in 1871–72, for the first time during the Benito Juárez administration. During the Porfirio Diaz's government, he held the office in 1880–83 and 1885–1910. In 1909, he was the President of Mexican Academy of the Language. Biography Mariscal was born in Oaxaca, Mexico on July 5, 1829; his father were deputy during the Mexican–American War. Kary Mariscal Guzmán (born 9 March 1976) is a Bolivian schoolteacher and politician who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from Santa Cruz, representing circumscription 54 from 2015 to 2020. A member of the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement, Mariscal spent much of her life working in education, only entering the political field in 2010 with her election as a substitute member of her city's municipal council. Mark Mariscal (born September 10, 1979) is a former American college and professional football placekicker and punter who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for a single season in 2004. He played college football for the University of Colorado, earned consensus All-American honors, and was recognized as the top punter in college football.
