Butterfly
Butterflies are insects in the macrolepidopteran clade Rhopalocera from the Order (biology), order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths. Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. The group comprises the large superfamily (zoology), superfamily Papilionoidea, which contains at least one former group, the skippers (formerly the superfamily "Hesperioidea"), and the most recent analyses suggest it also contains the moth-butterflies (formerly the superfamily "Hedyloidea"). Butterfly fossils date to the Paleocene, about 56 million years ago. Butterflies have a four-stage life cycle, as like most insects they undergo Holometabolism, complete metamorphosis. Winged adults lay eggs on the food plant on which their larvae, known as caterpillars, will feed. The caterpillars grow, sometimes very rapidly, and when fully developed, pupate in a chrysalis. When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs o ...

Mariposa War
The Mariposa War (December 1850 - June 1851), also known as the Yosemite Indian War, was a conflict between the United States and the indigenous people of California's Sierra Nevada in the 1850s. The war was fought primarily in Mariposa County and surrounding areas, and was sparked by the discovery of gold in the region. As a result of the military expedition, the Mariposa Battalion became the first non-indigenous group to enter Yosemite Valley and the Nelder Grove. The war began in 1850 when miners entered the area of the Sierra Nevada foothills, which was traditionally occupied by the Ahwahnechee, a band of the Southern Sierra Miwok people. The miners began to take over the Ahwahnechee's land and resources, leading to tensions between the two groups. The Ahwahnechee, led by their chief Tenaya, fought back against the miners, resulting in a series of skirmishes that escalated into a full-scale war. The California state government, under Governor John McDougall, sent the Marip ...

He is known for such pieces as Capricho Árabe and ''Recuerdos de la Alhambra''. He is often called "the father of classical guitar" and is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Biography Tárrega was born on 21 November 1852, in Villarreal, Province of Castellón, Spain. It is said that Francisco's father played flamenco and several other music styles on his guitar; when his father was away working as a watchman at the Convent of San Pascual, Francisco would take his father's guitar and attempt to make the beautiful sounds he had heard. Francisco's nickname as a child was "Quiquet". As a child, he ran away from his nanny and fell into an irrigation channel and injured his eyes. Mariposa (song)
"Mariposa" (Spanish for ''butterfly'') is a single by the Bay Area collective Peach Tree Rascals, released on August 28, 2019 by Homemade Projects and 10K Projects. The song went viral on TikTok, being used for more than 1.6 million videos, and peaked at 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Alternative Songs chart. Background and composition "Mariposa" was created because of member Joseph Barros's love of guitar. The framework for the song was completed in nearly a day. The group cited Yosemite National Park as a key role in the song's production, with the title being a reference to both Mariposa Grove and metamorphosis. The reference to metamorphosis represents growing as a human. The group recorded the song in a wooden shed. The saxophone outro was recorded by Dominic Pizano's friend Francis Salamanca. The music video was released on the same day of the song's release. The acoustic version of the song was released on July 17, 2020. Chart performance "Mariposa" peaked at number 14 on ...

Single (music)
In music, a single is a type of release, typically a song recording of fewer tracks than an LP record or an album. One can be released for sale to the public in a variety of formats. In most cases, a single is a song that is released separately from an album, although it usually also appears on an album. In other cases a recording released as a single may not appear on an album. Despite being referred to as a single, in the era of music downloads, singles can include up to as many as three tracks. The biggest digital music distributor, the iTunes Store, accepts as many as three tracks that are less than ten minutes each as a single. Any more than three tracks on a musical release or thirty minutes in total running time is an extended play (EP) or, if over six tracks long, an album. Historically, when mainstream music was purchased via vinyl records, singles would be released double-sided, i.e. there was an A-side and a B-side, on which two songs would appear, one on each si ...
