Marion Poschmann
Marion Poschmann (born 15 December 1969 in Essen) is a German author, novelist, and poet. Life Marion Poschmann grew up in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Essen. From 1989 to 1995 she studied German, philosophy, and Slavic studies in Bonn and Berlin. Her novel ''The Pine Islands'' was shortlisted for Man Booker International Prize in 2019. The Wilhelm Raabe Literature Prize () is a German literary award established in 2000 by the city of Braunschweig and the radio broadcaster Deutschlandradio. It is named after the 18th-century writer Wilhelm Raabe and is awarded for an individual work. Essen (; Latin: ''Assindia'') is the central and, after Dortmund, second-largest city of the Ruhr, the largest urban area in Germany.
