Mario Zatelli
Mario Zatelli (21 December 1912 – 7 January 2004) was a French football player and manager. Born in Sétif, Algeria and of Italian origin, he mostly played for Olympique de Marseille. He was in the roster for the 1938 FIFA World Cup; never appeared. He capped (scored 1 goal) for France in 1939. He later managed Olympique de Marseille in the 1970s and won one Ligue 1 and Coupe de France in 1972. Sétif ( ar, سطيف, ber, Sṭif) is the capital of the Sétif Province in Algeria. It is one of the most important cities of eastern Algeria and the country as a whole, since it is considered the trade capital of the country. It is an inner city, situated in the eastern side of Algeria, at 270 kilometers east of Algiers, at 131 km west of Constantine (Algeria), Constantine, in the Hautes Plaines region south of Béjaia and Jijel. The ''Pieds-Noirs'' (; ; ''Pied-Noir''), are the people of French and other European descent who were born in Algeria during the period of French rule from 1830 to 1962; the vast majority of whom departed for mainland France as soon as Algeria gained independence or in the months following. From the French invasion on 18 June 1830 until its independence, Algeria was administratively part of France; its European population were simply called Algerians or ''colons'' (colonists), whereas the Muslim people of Algeria were called Arabs, Muslims or Indigenous.
