Mario Uggeri
Mario Uggeri (17 February 1924 – 8 March 2004) was an Italian comic artist, illustrator and painter. Life and career Born in Codogno, after getting a degree of technical engineer at young age Uggeri was an actor and a production designer in a stage company.Luciano Secchi. "Uggeri, Mario". Codogno
Codogno (; Lodigiano: ) is a town and ''comune'' of 15,868 inhabitants in the province of Lodi, Lombardy, northern Italy. It is the main center of the plain known as Basso Lodigiano, which has about 90,000 inhabitants. It received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on June 26, 1955. History There is evidence of a settlement dating back to Roman penetration of Gaul, where it is thought to have been used as a ''castrum''. The Latin form of the name Codogna was "Cothoneum" and is believed to derive from the name of the consul Aurelius Cotta, conqueror of the Gauls, who inhabited these lands at that time. However, it is not until 997 C.E. that the name of the town is found in print. It is mentioned in a charter of Emperor Otto II. It has also been suggested that the name may be derived from the ''cydonia'' apple, or the ''melo cotogno'', a variety of quince, both common in this region. ''La Gazzetta dello Sport'' (; "The Sports Gazette") is an Italian daily newspaper dedicated to coverage of various sports. Sergio Bonelli
Sergio Bonelli (2 December 1932 – 26 September 2011) was an Italian comic book writer and publisher. He is best known as creator of '' Zagor'' (1961) and '' Mister No'' (1975), as well as a comics publisher through the publishing house Sergio Bonelli Editore. He was born in Milan, the son of Gian Luigi Bonelli, the creator of ''Tex Willer'' and many other Italian comic strips. In order to distinguish himself from his father, he usually wrote his scripts under the pen name Guido Nolitta. He made his debut as a scriptwriter in 1957, with the translation into Italian of the Spanish series '' Verdugo Ranch'', for which he wrote the final episode (artwork by Franco Bignotti). In 1958 Bonelli created his first character ''Un ragazzo nel Far West'' ('A boy in the Far West'), also illustrated by Franco Bignotti. Galerie Lambiek is a Dutch comic book store and art gallery in Amsterdam, founded on November 8, 1968 by Kees Kousemaker (, – Bussum, ), though since 2007, his son Boris Kousemaker is the current owner. From 1968 to 2015, it was located in the Kerkstraat, but in November 2015, the store moved to the Koningsstraat 27. As of 2018, Lambiek is the oldest comics store in Europe, and the oldest worldwide still in existence. The name "Lambiek" originated as a misspelling of the name of the comics character Lambik, from the popular Suske & Wiske comic book series created by Belgian artist Willy Vandersteen. Mino Milani (3 February 1928 – 10 February 2022) was an Italian writer, cartoonist, journalist and historian. During his career he also used several pseudonyms, including Stelio Martelli, Eugenio Ventura, Piero Selva, Mungo Graham Alcesti and T. Maggio.
