Mario Lisson
Mario Lisson Ortega (born May 31, 1984 in Caracas, Miranda State, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan former professional baseball shortstop and current manager of the Wilmington Blue Rocks. He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Kansas City Royals on April 1, 2002. Professional career Kansas City Royals On April 1, 2002, Lisson signed with the Kansas City Royals organization as an international free agent. He made his professional debut with the rookie ball GCL Royals. Lisson did not play in 2003 and spent the 2004 season with the rookie ball Idaho Falls Chukars, slashing .289/.398/.438 with 8 home runs and 49 RBI. In 2005, he played for the Single-A Burlington Bees, batting .250/.386/.408 in 78 games. Burlington Bees
The Burlington Bees are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Burlington, Iowa, and have played their home games at Community Field since 1947. Founded in 1889, the Bees played in Minor League Baseball's Midwest League from 1962 to 2020. With Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues after the 2020 season, Burlington was not selected to continue in affiliated baseball. The 2022 Washington Nationals season is the Nationals' 18th season as the baseball franchise of Major League Baseball in the District of Columbia, the 15th season at Nationals Park, and the 54th since the original team was started in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On December 2, 2021, Commissioner of Baseball Rob Manfred announced a lockout of players, following expiration of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the league and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). The 2021 Washington Nationals season was the Nationals' 17th season as the baseball franchise of Major League Baseball in the District of Columbia, the 14th season at Nationals Park, and the 53rd since the original team was started in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Hagerstown Suns were a Minor League Baseball team based in Hagerstown, Maryland.
