Marine F.C.
Marine Association Football Club are an English football club based in Crosby, Merseyside. The club, who were founded in 1894, are a member of both the Liverpool County and Lancashire County Football Associations, and currently play in the . Marine are notable for having the longest serving manager in postwar English football. Roly Howard occupied the post from 1972 to 2005 and oversaw a total of 1,975 games. History The club was formed in 1894 by a group of local businessmen and former college students. Marine takes its name from a hotel on the River Mersey sea front at Waterloo, seven miles to the north of Liverpool city centre, where the founders of the club met. Rossett Park
Rossett Park is a football ground in Crosby, Merseyside that has been home to Marine A.F.C. since 1904. It has been called the Marine Travel Arena for sponsorship since 2015. Marine currently play in the and share the ground with A.F.C. Liverpool in the . Everton F.C.'s women's club played home matches at Rossett Park from 1998 to 2013. The ground’s current capacity is 3,185 of which 389 is seated. Rossett Park has three sides with the primary covered stand, including the modest press area, behind one of the goals. The dugout length of the field is behind residences on Rossett Road. Marine A.F.C.'s supporters association operates a merchandise shop at the ground. Daniel Mitchley (born 7 October 1989) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Skelmersdale United. Career From youth team to first team at Blackpool Born in Liverpool, Mitchley played at Skelmersdale United until he was 15 years old. He then spent one season with the Oldham Athletic Centre of Excellence, followed by a short spell with Wigan Athletic's Centre of Excellence, before joining Blackpool, where he became a regular starter for the youth team in the Football League Youth Alliance, North West Conference. Andrew Nicholas
Andrew Peter Nicholas (born 10 October 1983 in Liverpool) is an English footballer. He plays as a central defender for Warrington Town. Nicholas began his career at Liverpool, where he was timed as being faster than England international Michael Owen. Andrew Nicholas was released in the summer of 2003 but was swiftly snapped up by Swindon Town manager Andy King on a one-year contract. Nicholas did not appear in the Swindon first team until October but soon found himself a regular as the Robins earned a place in the Division Two play-offs only to lose narrowly to Brighton & Hove Albion in the semi-finals. Liam James Willis (born 21 May 1993) is an English footballer playing as a defender for Marine. Career Willis signed his first professional contract at Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2011 after joining from Southport. He progressed through the youth system initially, however, he was released in later in the same year. On 18 January 2012, he signed for Football League Two side Accrington Stanley after training with the club. He made his professional debut on 18 February 2012, in a 4–0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle, coming on as a substitute for Micah Evans. Farsley is a town in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, West Yorkshire, England to the west of Leeds city centre, east of Bradford. Farsley is situated between the two cities and near the town of Pudsey. Before April 1974, Farsley was part of the Borough of Pudsey. Before 1934 it was its own urban district council. Andrew James Owens (born 15 October 1989) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Macclesfield. Career Born in Liverpool, Owens began his career with his home town club Liverpool but later moved to Stoke City. Ossett Town Association Football Club was an English football club based in Ossett in West Yorkshire. History Ossett Town AFC were formed in 1936 when, during a public meeting, the Mayor of the Borough of Ossett charged John Carter, a former Yorkshire League Referee, with bringing Ossett a football team.
