Marina Albiol
Marina Albiol Guzmán (born 15 December 1982) is a Spanish politician. She served as Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019, integrated in the European United Left–Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) political group. European Parliament Born on 15 December 1982 in Castellón de la Plana, she earned a diploma in physiotherapy and educational practice. A member of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) and the United Left (IU), Albiol ran as lead candidate of the Commitment for the Valencian Country coalition in the constituency of Castellón for the 2007 Valencian regional election, and she became a member of the 7th term of the regional parliament. Albiol, who has also been an activist against oil offshore drilling in the coast of Castellón and in support of the Palestinian people, was reelected in the 2011 regional election, renouncing to her seat after being elected in the 2014 European Parliament election in Spain, in which she ran in the fourth place of the Plural ... United Left (Spain)
United Left ( es, Izquierda Unida , IU) is a federative political movement in Spain that was first organized as a coalition in 1986, bringing together several left-wing political organizations, most notably the Communist Party of Spain. IU was founded as an electoral coalition of seven parties, but the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) is the only remaining integrated member of the IU at the national level. Despite that, IU brings together other regional parties, political organizations, and independents. It currently takes the form of a permanent federation of parties. 2011 Valencian Regional Election
The 2011 Valencian regional election was held on Sunday, 22 May 2011, to elect the 8th Corts Valencianes, Corts of the Valencian Community. All 99 seats in the Corts were up for election. ''El Mundo'' (; ), before ''El Mundo del Siglo Veintiuno'', is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with ''El País and ABC.'' History and profile ''El Mundo'' was first published on 23 October 1989.
