Marin Radu
Marin Radu (born 15 March 1956) is a retired Romanian football striker and manager, best known for his playing stints with Argeș Pitești and Steaua București. His brother, Nicolae was also a footballer who played at Argeș Pitești, they managed to win the 1978–79 Divizia A championship together. International career Marin Radu played 7 games at international level for Romania, making his debut on 12 May 1976 when coach Ștefan Kovács sent him on the field in the 60th minute to replace Stelian Anghel in a 1–0 away loss against Bulgaria at the 1973–76 Balkan Cup first leg final, also appearing in the 3–2 home victory in the second leg of the final. His third game was also against Bulgaria, a 2–0 home victory at the successful 1977–80 Balkan Cup. Radu also played in a 1–1 against Cyprus at the Euro 1980 qualifiers. Albota is a commune in Argeș County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Albota, Cerbu, Frătești, Gura Văii and Mareș. Stelian Anghel (7 March 1952 – 23 November 2009) was a Romanian former footballer who played as a forward. He was also president at Politehnica Timișoara. International career Stelian Anghel played two games at international level for Romania, making his debut in a 1–0 away loss against Bulgaria at the 1973–76 Balkan Cup. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. 1985–86 European Cup
The 1985–86 European Cup was the 31st season of UEFA's premier club football tournament, the European Cup. The European Champion Clubs' Cup was won by Steaua București on penalties in the final against Barcelona. Steaua București became the first Eastern Bloc side to win the tournament. 1984–85 Cupa României
The 1984–85 Cupa României was the 47th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Steaua București against Universitatea Craiova. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, then the winner will be established at penalty kicks. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list.
