Stadsdeel
A stadsdeel (; pl. ''stadsdelen''; lit. ''city part'') is the name used for urban or municipality districts in some of the larger municipalities of the Netherlands. Amsterdam calls 7 of its 8 ''deelgemeenten'' ''stadsdeel''. They form a level of government, both executive (''stadsdeelwethouders'') and legislative (''Stadsdeelraad'', a council elected by the inhabitants), and can therefore be regarded as boroughs or ''wards''. North Holland
North Holland ( nl, Noord-Holland, ) is a province of the Netherlands in the northwestern part of the country. It is located on the North Sea, north of South Holland and Utrecht, and west of Friesland and Flevoland. In November 2019, it had a population of 2,877,909 and a total area of , of which is water.
