Marie Levasseur (born May 18, 1997) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a left-back for Division 1 Féminine club FC Fleury 91 and for the Canada national team. Early life Levasseur began playing soccer at age four with CS Haute-Saint-Charles. In 2009, she was part of the Eastern Canada team in the Canadian qualification tournament for the U12 Danone Nations Cup. In 2014, she was named the Quebec Soccer Federation Youth Player of the Year. College career In 2015, she began attending the University of Memphis, where she played for the women's soccer team. She scored her first collegiate goal on September 13, 2015 against the Idaho Vandals. Soccer Quebec (formerly (french: Fédération Québécoise de Soccer FQS) or the Quebec Soccer Federation (QSF)) is the governing body for soccer in the Canadian province of Quebec. The QSF is one of thirteen provincial and territorial federations members of the Canadian Soccer Association. It is headquartered in Laval. This federation was founded in 1911 and adopted its current name in 2000. On June 10, 2013, the Canadian Soccer Association suspended the Quebec Soccer Federation over its refusal to let turban-wearing children play. Quebec's premier Pauline Marois announced her support of the Quebec Soccer Federation's ban and suggested that the CSF has no authority over provincial organizations. The Idaho Vandals are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing the University of Idaho, located in Moscow. The Vandals compete at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Big Sky Conference.
