Mariana Avitia
Mariana Avitia Martínez (born September 18, 1993) is a Mexican recurve archer. She was the first Mexican to win an Olympic medal in archery after taking bronze in the women's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is also the youngest Mexican athlete to compete in two Olympic Games, contesting both the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2010 Summer Youth Olympics by the age of seventeen. Avitia has represented Mexico at international archery events since 2007. In addition to her Olympic medal she has also achieved medals at the 2017 World Archery Championships and the 2011 and 2019 Pan American Games. Career Avitia was first introduced to archery at age seven. The 2010 Summer Youth Olympics ( ta, 2010 கோடைக்கால இளையோர் ஒலிம்பிக் விளையாட்டுக்கள் ms, Sukan Olimpik Belia Musim Panas 2010), officially known as the I Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Singapore 2010, was the inaugural edition of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG), an Olympic Games-based event for young athletes. Held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010, it was the first International Olympic Committee–sanctioned event held in Southeast Asia. 2010 Central American And Caribbean Games
The 21st Central American and Caribbean Games (Spanish: ''XXI Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Mayagüez 2010'') took place in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from 18 July 2010 to 1 August 2010. Bid It was understood that Mayagüez was going to be the only city to ask to hold the games, so that there was going to be no need for a vote in the assembly held in Havana, Cuba in 2004. Target Archery
Target archery is the most popular form of archery, in which members shoot at stationary circular targets at varying distances. All types of bow – longbow, barebow, recurve and compound – can be used. In Great Britain, imperial rounds, measured in yards, are still used for many tournaments and these have slightly different rules to metric (WA) rounds, which are used internationally. Archers are divided into seniors and juniors, with juniors being those under the age of 21. Kwon Un-sil
Kwon Un-sil (born September 17, 1983 in Hamhung, South Hamgyong) is an athlete from North Korea who competes in archery. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Kwon finished her ranking round with a total of 656 points. This gave her the 5th seed for the final competition bracket in which she faced Najmeh Abtin in the first round, beating the archer from Iran with 106–96. In the second round she was too strong for Pranitha Vardhineni with 106-99 and via Aida Román (105-100) she achieved her place in the quarter final. There she eliminated another Mexican, Mariana Avitia with 105-99 to go on to the semi final. In the semi final Kwon was unable to beat first seed Park Sung-hyun who won the match 109–106. Khatuna Narimanidze
Khatuna Narimanidze ( ka, ხათუნა ნარიმანიძე; born 2 February 1974) is an athlete from Georgia. She competes in archery. 2004 Summer Olympics Narimanidze represented Georgia at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She placed 41st in the women's individual ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 620. In the first round of elimination, she faced 24th-ranked Almudena Gallardo of Spain. Narimanidze lost 148-132 in the 18-arrow match, placing 51st overall in women's individual archery. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Narimanidze finished her ranking round with a total of 663 points.
