Marian Burros (born in Waterbury, Connecticut) is a cookbook author, and food columnist for ''The New York Times'', a position she has held since 1983. Previously, Burros was ''The Washington Post'''s food editor and a consumer reporter for an NBC affiliate, a position for which she won an Emmy Award.WebMD,Marian Burros Biography. Waterbury is a city in the U.S. state of Connecticut on the Naugatuck River, southwest of Hartford and northeast of New York City. Waterbury is the second-largest city in New Haven County, Connecticut. According to the 2020 US Census, in 2020 Waterbury had a population of 114,403.
