Miriam ( he, מִרְיָם ''Mīryām'', lit. 'Rebellion') is described in the Hebrew Bible as the daughter of Amram and Jochebed, and the older sister of Moses and Aaron. She was a prophetess and first appears in the Book of Exodus. The Torah refers to her as "Miriam the Prophetess" and the Talmud names her as one of the seven major female prophets of Israel. Scripture describes her alongside of Moses and Aaron as delivering the Jews from exile in Egypt: "For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam". Mariam ( ka, მარიამი) was a daughter of King Bagrat IV of Georgia ( r. 1027–1072) by his Alan wife Borena. She was possibly married, as the second wife, to the Byzantine dignitary Theodore Gabras. Mariam Baharum (21 August 1935 – 9 August 2010) was an early Singaporean Malay film actress who was known for her work during the 1950s and 60s. She was nicknamed Mariam Tahi Lalat by her fans. Early life Baharum was born on 21 August 1935 in Singapore. She was the sister of another Malay film actress, Saadiah, and the mother of pop singer, Rahimah Rahim. Career Baharum's career reached its zenith during the 1950s as an actress signed to Malay Film Productions Ltd. (MFP) in Jalan Ampas, Singapore. Her most well known movie is perhaps the 1952 film, '' Anjuran Nasib'', which was directed B. S. Rajhans and co-starred P. Ramlee. Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine ( ar, مريم محمد فخر الدين , 8 September 1933 – 3 November 2014) was an Egyptian film and television actress, and was the second wife of prominent filmmaker Mahmoud Zulfikar (1914-1970). She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen" ( arz, حسناء الشاشة). Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine ''Image''. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulfikar, her future husband. Mariam Ndagire (born 16 May 1971), is a Ugandan singer, entertainer, actress, playwright, film director, and film producer. Beginnings and education She was born in Kampala, Uganda's capital city, to Sarah Nabbutto and Buganda's Prince Kizito Ssegamwenge. She attended ''Buganda Road Primary School'', before transferring to ''Kampala High School'', where she completed her O-level education. Mariam Karolina Riahi Wallentin (born 28 July 1982 in Örebro, Sweden) is a Swedish musician (vocals, percussion, composer) and voice actress.
