Mariah Haberman
Mariah Haberman (born January 13, 1988) is the former host of ''Discover Wisconsin'', a tourism TV show. She resides in Madison, Wisconsin. Career Haberman's hometown is Evansville, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2010 with degrees in journalism and advertising. Haberman competed in beauty pageants through the Miss America organization, winning the title of Miss Wisconsin Central in 2012 and advancing to Miss Wisconsin, where she placed in the top 10. Her platform was "Preventing the Preventable - Drinking and Driving". After college, she worked for a Chicago marketing firm, then moved to a Madison firm. She was discovered at that firm by Discover Wisconsin; the syndicated show began as a tourism show for the state of Wisconsin in 1987 and Haberman was added as a co-host in 2013. Evansville, Wisconsin
Evansville is a city in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,703 at the 2020 census. History Evansville was first settled in the 1830s by New Englanders who were attracted to the area by its pristine wooded landscape and the placid Allen Creek. By 1855, the city recorded its first plat and was complete with homes, shops, and churches. Evansville is named for Dr. John M. Evans, a doctor and postmaster during the city's early years. In 1863, the Chicago and North Western Railway came to Evansville, accelerating growth. At this point, Evansville's economy was based on industry and manufacturing of carriages, wagons, pumps, windmills and iron castings. WKOW (channel 27) is a television station in Madison, Wisconsin, United States, affiliated with ABC and owned by Allen Media Broadcasting. The station's studios are located on Tokay Boulevard on Madison's west side, and its transmitter is located in the Middleton Junction section of the town of Middleton. Miss America
Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 17 and 25. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is now judged on competitors' talent performances and interviews. As of 2018, there is no longer a swimsuit portion to the contest, or consideration of physical appearance. Miss America travels about 20,000 miles a month, changing her location every 24 to 48 hours, touring the nation and promoting her particular platform of interest.
