Maria Mochnacz
Maria Mochnacz is a British photographer and music video director, best known for her collaborations with PJ Harvey. Life Mochnacz holds a degree in fine arts. She also attended a photography course in Weston-super-Mare. Notably, she does not use digital cameras in her photography. She has been working with various musicians since 1991, as well as doing fashion and fine art work. She directed and designed most of PJ Harvey's music videos and album covers, including the most recognizable ''Rid of Me''. She also collaborated with other artists such as Marianne Faithfull, Robert Miles, M People, Julie Feeney, Richard Ashcroft, Robert Plant, and Nick Cave. In the 1980s she was in a relationship with John Parish. She has a twin sister, Annie Mochnacz, who is a fashion designer. A music video director is the head of music video production. The director conceives of videos' artistic and dramatic aspects while instructing the musical act, technical crew, actors, models, and dancers. They may or may not be in collaboration with the musical act. ''Everyone's Got One'' is the debut album by English rock band Echobelly. Released to a favourable response from critics, the album reached number 8 in the UK Albums Chart in September 1994. On 21 July 2014, a 2CD expanded edition of the album was released by 3 Loop Music which featured B-sides and previously unreleased live material. Howe Gelb
Howe Gelb (born October 22, 1956, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) is an American singer-songwriter, musician and record producer based in Tucson, Arizona. Projects Gelb's approach to music is collaborative and he has recorded with a number of side projects. In a 2004 interview with Gelb, ''The Guardian'' wrote "Gelb's way of dealing with it was to treat Giant Sand (not to be confused with his 1970s electro-rock band Giant Sandworms) as a loose, uncompetitive, mutually supportive musical collective, a place for friends to hang out and play. Giant Sand
Giant Sand is an American musical group from Tucson, Arizona, United States. Its most constant member is singer-songwriter Howe Gelb. The group started as Giant Sandworms in the late 1970s post-punk and paisley underground scenes. They later shortened their name and developed an idiosyncratic sound rooted in alternative country, but touching on a wide range of other styles and featuring Gelb's beatnik-influenced vocals and songwriting. Since about 2012, they have also performed as Giant Giant Sand when featuring a larger ensemble than their traditional four to six musicians. Subcircus were a Britpop musical ensemble, band from London. They had two singles make an entry in the UK Singles Chart in 1997. Career Peter Bradley formed Subcircus in late 1994. The Raincoats
The Raincoats are a British experimental post-punk band. Ana da Silva (vocals, guitar) and Gina Birch (vocals, bass) formed the group in 1977 while they were students at Hornsey College of Art in London. Signed to the label Rough Trade, the band released three albums in their early incarnation: ''The Raincoats'' (1979), ''Odyshape'' (1981), and '' Moving'' (1984). They reformed in 1993 and released the album ''Looking in the Shadows'' in 1996.
