Maria Giulia Confalonieri
Maria Giulia Confalonieri (born 30 March 1993) is an Italian track and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Tour Team Uno-X Pro Cycling. She previously rode for UCI Women's Continental Team . As a Junior rider on the track, she won the points race at the 2011 UCI Junior Track World Championships. At under-23 level, Confalonieri won the scratch race at the 2013 UEC European Track Championships. On the road she competed at the 2013 UCI Road World Championships in the women's team time trial. 2015 UEC European Track Championships
The 2015 UEC European Track Championships was the sixth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen, Switzerland, between 14 and 18 October. The Event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions are awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which may be worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. The Cycling at the 2016 Summer Olympics#Track cycling, 10 Olympic events (sprint, team sprint, team pursuit, keirin and omnium for men and women), as well as 11 other events are on the program for these European Championships. 2013 UCI Road World Championships – Women's Team Time Trial
The Women's team time trial of the 2013 UCI Road World Championships took place on 22 September 2013 in the region of Tuscany, Italy. The course of the race was from the town of Pistoia to the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence. Qualification Invitations were sent to the 20 leading UCI Women's Teams in the 2013 UCI Team Ranking on 15 August 2013. Teams that accepted the invitation within the deadline had the right to participate. The Italian team Vaiano Fondriest (placed 23rd) also received an invitation. Every participating team selected six riders from its team roster (excluding stagiaires) to compete in the event. 2013 UCI Road World Championships
The 2013 UCI Road World Championships took place in Tuscany, Italy, between 22 and 29 September 2013. The Championships consisted of 12 events for elite, under-23 and junior cyclists. It was the 86th Road World Championships, the 13th in Italy and the first time that the event took place in Tuscany. The different events finished near the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence. Host cities for the starts were Florence, Pistoia, Lucca and Montecatini Terme. Marketing Tickets for crucial points of the course in Florence and Fiesole could be bought in advance. UCI Junior Track World Championships
The UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships (named the UCI Juniors Track World Championships before 2016) are a set of world championship events for junior riders, for various disciplines and distances in track cycling and are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). In the period 2005–2009 the championships were part of the UCI Junior World Championships. Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and, for men only, madison. Women's events are shorter than men's.
