Maria, Marchioness Of Tortosa
Maria of Portugal (; 6 April 1342, in Évora, Kingdom of Portugal – 1377, in Aveiro, Kingdom of Portugal or Genoa, Republic of Genoa, Liguria, Italy) was a Portuguese ''infanta'' (princess) member of the House of Burgundy and by marriage Marchioness of Tortosa and Lady of Albarracín. She was the eldest child and daughter of infante Pedro of Portugal (who became King in 1357) and his first wife Constanza Manuel. Her parents' marriage produced four children, but only infanta Maria and her younger brother, the future King Fernando I of Portugal survive adulthood; from her father's relationship (or second marriage) with Inês de Castro and later affair with Teresa Lourenço, she had several half-siblings, including Beatriz, Countess consort of Alburquerque and João of Aviz, who became King of Portugal in 1385 and founder of the House of Aviz, who ruled the Kingdom of Portugal until 1580. The Portuguese House of Burgundy ( pt, Casa de Borgonha) or the Afonsine Dynasty (''Dinastia Afonsina'') was a Portuguese dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Portugal from its founding until the 1383–85 Portuguese Interregnum. Teresa Lourenço
Teresa Gille Lourenço (Lisbon, 1330 – ?), was the lover of King Peter I of Portugal and mother of King John I of Portugal. Life According to Fernão Lopes, a 15th-century Portuguese chronicler, she was a noble called Dona Tareija Lourenço from the Kingdom of Galicia, but later it was established, first in the eighteenth century by António Caetano de Sousa who found a document in the Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo, that she was a common woman from Lisbon. Her parents were Lourenço and Sancha Martins, who were merchants. She had a love affair with King Peter I of Portugal after the assassination of Inês de Castro. Fraga (; ) is the major town of the ''comarca'' of Bajo Cinca ( ca, Baix Cinca) in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It is located by the river Cinca. Jerónimo (or Gerónimo) de Zurita y Castro or simply Jerónimo (or Gerónimo) de Zurita (1512 – 3 November 1580) was a Spanish historian of the sixteenth century who founded the modern tradition of historical scholarship in Spain.
