Mari Saarinen
Mari Saarinen (born 30 July 1981) is a Finnish retired ice hockey forward and current assistant coach of Team Kuortane in the Naisten Liiga (NSML). She was the head coach of HPK Kiekkonaiset during the 2020–21 season. Her playing career was spent with the Tampereen Ilves in the Naisten SM-sarja and with the Finnish national team. Kangasala is a city in Finland which is situated about 16 kilometres East of Tampere. The city was founded in 1865 and had a population of people as of . Ilves (; Finnish for " Lynx") is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Tampere. They play in the Liiga at the Tampere Deck Arena. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the city of Tampere. The women's tournament in ice hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics was held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from February 13 to 25. Eight teams competed, seeded into two groups.
