Margot Rose (born July 17, 1956) is an American television and film actress, composer and lyricist. Background She attended Interlochen Arts Academy, the Yale School of Drama and the North Carolina School of the Arts. Margot began her career in 1975 working in theater (Godspell) and television commercials and was a member of the original company of ''I'm Getting My Act Together & Taking it on the Road'' at the New York Shakespeare Festival, then later at the Circle in the Square Downtown. Career Rose has guest starred on over sixty television series including: ''Hill Street Blues'', '' E/R'', ''Night Court'', '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'', ''L.A. ''Godspell'' is a musical composed by Stephen Schwartz with book by John-Michael Tebelak. The show is structured as a series of parables, primarily based on the Gospel of Matthew, interspersed with music mostly set to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end. ''I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road'' is a musical with music by Nancy Ford and book and lyrics by Gretchen Cryer. The show premiered Off-Broadway in 1978. Productions The musical was produced by Joseph Papp and the New York Shakespeare Festival at The Public Theater, opening on June 14, 1978 and closing on March 15, 1981 at the Circle-in-the-Square (Downtown)after 1165 performances. Directed by Word Baker, the musical featured Gretchen Cryer as Heather; Nancy Ford appeared later in the run as Heather, as did Betty Buckley, Virginia Vestoff, Carol Hall, Betty Aberlin and Phyllis Newman. ''Equus'' is a play by Peter Shaffer written in 1973, telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious fascination with horses. Shaffer was inspired to write ''Equus'' when he heard of a crime involving a 17-year-old who blinded six horses in a small town in Suffolk. He set out to construct a fictional account of what might have caused the incident, without knowing any of the details of the crime. Delferd Lynn Shores (born December 3, 1957) is an American film director and producer, television writer and producer, playwright and actor. Biography The first play Shores wrote was ''Cheatin which premiered in 1984 in Los Angeles at The MainStage Theatre. His second play ''Daddy's Dyin': Who's Got the Will?'' saw a 1987 debut in Los Angeles at Theatre/Theater, running twenty-two months to critical acclaim. The comedic play was adapted for the 1990 film of the same title. Shores wrote the screenplay and executive produced the feature. Perhaps Shores' best known play is his fourth, ''Sordid Lives'', which debuted in 1996 in Los Angeles. The comedy centered on the Texan Ingram family and touched on LGBT themes. In 1999 Shores wrote and directed the screen version of ''Sordid Lives''.
