Margaret Roach
Margaret Mae Roach (March 15, 1921 – November 22, 1964) was an American actress active in the 1930s and 1940s. She was born on March 15, 1921 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Hal Roach and Marguerite Nichols, and her brother was Hal Roach Jr. Roach was married to the actor Robert Livingston, from 1947 to 1951, and they had one son, actor and writer Addison Randall (born 1949). Roach died November 1964 from cirrhosis of the liver caused by chronic alcoholism. Harry Eugene "Hal" Roach Sr.Randy Skretvedt, Skretvedt, Randy (2016), ''Laurel and Hardy: The Magic Behind the Movies'', Bonaventure Press. p.608. Marguerite Nichols
Marguerite Olive Nichols (August 3, 1891 – March 17, 1941) was an American silent film actress. She starred in 21 films between 1915 and 1918. Actress Norma Nichols was her sister. Marriage and death Nichols was born in Los Angeles, California. She was married to comedy film producer Hal Roach for the last 26 years of her life. (He survived her by more than a half-century, dying at age 100 in 1992). They had two children, Hal Jr. and Margaret Roach. She died from pneumonia on March 17, 1941, in Los Angeles. Hal Roach Jr
Harold Eugene Roach Jr. (June 15, 1918 – March 29, 1972) was an American film and television producer. Biography Roach Jr. was born in Los Angeles, the son of comedy producer Hal Roach and actress Marguerite Nichols. Roach Jr. co-directed ''One Million B.C.'' with his father. Roach was president of the Hal Roach Studios for some time, but was ousted in 1959 when he and Alexander Guterma, who attempted to create an empire of the studio, Mutual Broadcasting System, and others, were both indicted on federal securities violations. Roach married Alva Brewer, with whom he had two children. Death Roach produced individual episodes of many early television series but no well-known films aside from those directly involving his father. He died on March 29, 1972, at the age of 53 after falling ill with pneumonia. His father outlived him by twenty years, dying in 1992 at age 100. Robert Edward Randall (December 9, 1904 – March 7, 1988) was an American film actor known under his stage name, Robert Livingston. He appeared in 136 films between 1921 and 1975. He was one of the original Three Mesquiteers. He had also played The Lone Ranger and Zorro. Life and career Livingston was born in Quincy, Illinois, and died in Tarzana, California, from emphysema at age 83. Often billed as "Bob Livingston," he was the original "Stony Brooke" in the " Three Mesquiteers" Western B-movie series, a role later played by John Wayne for eight films.
