Margaret (singer)
Małgorzata Jamroży (; born 30 June 1991), known professionally as Margaret, is a Polish singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence in her native country in 2013, and achieved moderate chart success in some European territories with her singles " Thank You Very Much" (2013) and " Cool Me Down" (2016). After signing an international record deal with Warner Music in 2016, she became particularly successful in Sweden, and participated in the country's music competition ''Melodifestivalen'' in two consecutive years with the songs "In My Cabana" and "Tempo" in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Before her mainstream debut, Margaret performed with underground bands, recorded soundtracks for television commercials and films, and produced a fashion blog. Through her blogging, she was discovered by a talent agent who helped her secure a record deal with the label Extensive Music. Sopot International Song Festival
The Sopot International Song Festival or Sopot Festival (later called ''Sopot Music Festival Grand Prix'', ''Sopot Top of the Top Festival'' from 2012–13 and ''Polsat Sopot Festival'' in 2014) is an annual international song contest held in Sopot, Poland. It is the biggest Polish music festival altogether with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest song contests in Europe. The contest was organised and transmitted live by the public Polish Television (TVP) between 1994 and 2004. The following year, the concert was broadcast by the private media station TVN for the first time and remained on TVN until 2009. From 2012 to 2014, the concert was broadcast and organised by Polsat. Melodifestivalen 2019
Melodifestivalen 2019 was the 59th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen and was held between 2 February 2019 and 9 March 2019. Presenters were Sarah Dawn Finer, Kodjo Akolor, Marika Carlsson and Eric Saade. Edward af Sillén returned as a consultant and adviser, producing various interval acts for the hosts. ''Gaja Hornby'' is the fourth studio album and first Polish-language album by Polish singer Margaret. It was released digitally on 17 May 2019 and physically on 31 May 2019 by Artistars under exclusive license from Powerhouse, only in Poland. The album introduces Maragret's alter ego Gaja Hornby. ''Gaja Hornby'' charted at number 13 in Poland. "Byle jak" (English: "Anyhow") is a song by Polish singer Margaret. It was included on the deluxe edition of her third studio album, '' Monkey Business'' (2017). The song was written by Emil Gullhamn, Sebastian Hallifax, Dimitri Stassos, and Margaret, and produced by Stassos. It was released to contemporary hit radio in Poland on 21 December 2017 as the second single from ''Monkey Business'', premiering on Radio ZET.
