Mare' Subdistrict ( ar-at, ناحية مارع, Nāḥiyah Mare') is a nahiyah, subdistrict of Azaz District in the Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria. The administrative centre is the city of Mare'. Adjacent subdistricts of Azaz District are Tell Rifaat Subdistrict, Tell Rifaat to the west, Sawran Subdistrict, Aleppo Governorate, Sawran to the north and Akhtarin Subdistrict, Akhtarin to the east. Akhtarin Subdistrict
Akhtarin Subdistrict ( ar, ناحية أخترين, Nāḥiyah Akhtarin) is the easternmost nahiyah, subdistrict of Azaz District in the northern Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria, on the Syria–Turkey border, border with Turkey. Its administrative centre and largest town is Akhtarin. Its town of Dabiq, Syria, Dabiq is notable for the battle of Marj Dabiq in 1516, and its place in Islamic eschatology. Neighbouring subdistricts are Sawran Subdistrict, Aleppo Governorate, Sawran Subdistrict (northwest) and Mare' Subdistrict (southwest), both in Azaz District, as well as al-Rai Subdistrict (northeast) and al-Bab Subdistrict (southeast), both belonging to al-Bab District.
