Marcus Mathisen
Marcus Mathisen (born 27 February 1996) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as centre-back for German club 1. FC Magdeburg. Club career FC Copenhagen In the spring 2015, Mathisen trained with the F.C. Copenhagen first team and played several matches for the reserve team. He was in the squad for the 2015 Danish Cup Final, but remained on the bench for the whole match. Three days later, Mathisen made his first team debut, when he replaced Daniel Amartey in a 2–0 loss against FC Midtjylland. Mathisen was permanently promoted to the first team squad on 13 July 2015. Olympia, sometimes referred to as ''Olympiastadion'' ( en, Olympic Stadium), is a football stadium in Helsingborg, Sweden. It was opened in 1898, but has been rebuilt in 1993, 1997 and 2014–2017, and has a capacity of 17,200 (9,673 seated and about 7,500 ground attendance stands). The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The 2015–16 Danish Superliga season was the 26th season of the Danish Superliga, which decides the Danish football championship. Midtjylland were the defending champions. As Denmark dropped from nineteenth to twenty-second place in the 2015 UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2014–15 season, the champion of the league will qualify for the UEFA Champions League; that club will commence its campaign in the second qualifying round. Furthermore, the second and third-place clubs will enter the UEFA Europa League in the first qualifying round.
