Marco Luciano
Marco José Luciano (born September 10, 2001) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He signed with the Giants as an international free agent in 2018, and made his MLB debut in 2023. Early life Marco José Luciano was born on September 10, 2001, in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Professional career Minor leagues Luciano was ranked as one of the top international prospects in his class. He signed with the San Francisco Giants in July 2018 as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic for a signing bonus of $2.6 million when he was 16 years old. He underwent hernia surgery the following month. He made his professional debut with the Arizona League Giants in 2019. Nicholas Mark Ahmed (born March 15, 1990) is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Ahmed attended East Longmeadow High School in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where he played as a pitcher (posting a career record of 21-3), was a member of the National Honor Society, and also played basketball. Sacramento River Cats
The Sacramento River Cats are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Prior to 2015, the River Cats were the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics for 15 years. They are based in West Sacramento, California, and play their home games at Sutter Health Park which opened in 2000 and was known as Raley Field through 2019. Sacramento was previously represented in the Pacific Coast League by the Solons, a charter member of the league which was founded in 1903. The Scottsdale Scorpions are a baseball team that plays in the East Division of the Arizona Fall League.
