Marcelo Pletsch
Marcelo José Pletsch (born 13 May 1976) is a former Brazilian professional footballer who played as a defender. Career In his homeland, Pletsch played with Ceará in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, before moving to Portuguese lower league club Oliveira de Frades. In summer 1999, he moved to Germany signing with Borussia Mönchengladbach. At Mönchengladbach, he spent the first two seasons in the 2. Bundesliga before playing in the Bundesliga for the following four seasons. During the 2002–03 season, he gained notoriety for a "brutal" foul on Werder Bremen's Markus Daun who was forced out of action for half a year due to injuries sustained. In the second half of the 2004–05 season, he was suspended by the club after calling Mönchengladbach a "shitty club" and director of football Christian Hochstätter a "backstabber". Toledo is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the Brazilian state of Paraná (state), Paraná. It is located in the western region of the state, near Cascavel. The Super League Greece 1 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ 1), or Super League 1, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. Cypriot First Division
The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. 2007–08 Cypriot First Division
The 2007-08 Cypriot First Division started on 1 September 2007. The defending champions were APOEL. This year, for the first time, the championship featured a group stage play-off system. Teams were divided into 3 groups; 1st-4th, 5th-8th and 9th-12th. The points were carried over from the first round. Anorthosis won the championship three games before the end of the season, without losing a single match. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2007–08 Cypriot First Division. Each team played against every other team twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 26 matches. After these matches, the two teams with the worst records were relegated to the 2008–09 Cypriot Second Division.
