Marcello Cuttitta
Marcello Cuttitta (born 2 September 1966) is a former Italian rugby union player who went into coaching after retirement. His role was wing. Cuttitta played club rugby for major Italian teams including L'Aquila from 1985 to 1988, Amatori Milan from 1988 to 1997, and Calvisano from 1997 to 2000; since retirement, he has been Amatori Milan's head coach since 2003. He attended Pinetown Boys High School with his brother, and they both played for Pinetown 1st XV. He played for the Italian national team at the first Rugby World Cup in 1987 as well as representing them at the subsequent World Cups in 1991 and 1995. Marcello Cuttitta is the Italian National team's top try scorer (26). In total, Cuttitta played for Italy 55 times. He usually played on the wing. Amatori Rugby Milano Players
Amatori Catania Rugby is an Italian rugby union club based in Catania. They are the only professional rugby union team in Sicily. The club was founded in 1963, and play at the Stadio Santa Maria Goretti. Amatori Catania have thus far not won the Italian championship, but have qualified for European competition, competing in both the 2004–05 and 2005–06 European Challenge Cup seasons, defeating Montpellier and Connacht in the last season. The Rugby World Cup is a men's rugby union tournament contested every four years between the top international teams. The tournament is administered by World Rugby, the sport's international governing body. The winners are awarded the Webb Ellis Cup, named after William Webb Ellis, who according to a popular legend, invented rugby by picking up the ball during a football game. The tournament was first held in 1987 and was co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia. Four countries have won the trophy; New Zealand and South Africa three times, Australia twice, and England once. Massimo Cuttitta
Massimo Cuttitta (2 September 1966 – 11 April 2021) was an Italian professional rugby union player and coach. He used to play as a prop. He was the twin brother of Marcello Cuttitta. Early life Cuttitta was born at Latina. His family moved to South Africa in the late 1960s, where the Cuttitta brothers, including older sibling Michele, started to practise rugby. He attended High School at Pinetown Boys' High School along with his brother. Club rugby After the return to Italy, Massimo and Marcello started to play at a more serious level at L'Aquila Rugby. In 1988, they both moved to Amatori Rugby Milano, where Massimo played until 1997. He won four titles of Italian Champion, in 1990/91, 1992/93, 1994/95 and 1995/96, and the Cup of Italy, for 1995. A sports coach is a person coaching in sport, involved in the direction, instruction and training of a sports team or athlete.
