Marc Spautz
Marc Spautz (born 10 April 1963, in Esch-sur-Alzette) is a Luxembourgian politician. He is a member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV), sitting in the national legislature, the Chamber of Deputies, and the communal council of Schifflange. He is the son of Jean Spautz, a fellow CSV deputy and trade union leader, and a former President of the Chamber. Marc followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a member of the CSV in 1981. Spautz has been a councillor in Schifflange since 1 January 1994. The constituency was established in 1919 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Chamber of Deputies. Gilles Roth
The Gilles are the oldest and principal participants in the Carnival of Binche in Belgium. They go out on Shrove Tuesday from 4 am until late hours and dance to traditional songs. Other cities, such as La Louvière and Nivelles, have a tradition of Gilles at carnival, but the Carnival of Binche is by far the most famous. Lucien Thiel
Lucien Thiel (14 February 1943 – 25 August 2011) was a Luxembourgian politician and journalist. He was a member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV), whose group he led in the Chamber of Deputies from 1 March 2011 until his sudden death six months later. Born in Luxembourg City, Thiel studied journalism at university. From 1967 to 1979, Thiel was the editor of ''Revue'', before becoming the editor-in-chief of '' d'Lëtzebuerger Land'': a position that he held from 1980 to 1989. From 1990 to 2004, he was a director of the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL). From 2000 to 2002, Thiel was the President of the government's Economic and Social Council (french: Conseil économique et social). Claude Wiseler
Claude Wiseler (born 30 January 1960 in Luxembourg City) is a Luxembourgish politician. He has been a member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) since 1983, and served in the government led by Jean-Claude Juncker until 2013. He attended the Athénée de Luxembourg, before studying literature in Paris. He returned to the Athénée to teach language in 1983, which he continued to do until 1988. From 1987 to 1999, he served as an adviser to the government on education issues. He became General Secretary of the Christian Social People's Party in 1995. He was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the 1999 election, finishing sixth amongst CSV candidates in the Centre constituency, where six CSV deputies were elected.
