Marc Krickbaum
Marc Luther Krickbaum (born 1979) is an American attorney who was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa from 2017 to 2021. Education Krickbaum received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science with highest distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Iowa in 2001 and a Juris Doctor cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2006. Between college and law school, he taught English in Tokyo. During law school, Krickbaum worked at Mayer Brown in Chicago, at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, and for professors Jack Goldsmith and Michael Sandel, and for the Civil Appellate Staff of the United States Department of Justice. He was also a finalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition and won awards for best brief and best oralist. International Criminal Tribunal For Rwanda
The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR; french: Tribunal pénal international pour le Rwanda; rw, Urukiko Mpanabyaha Mpuzamahanga Rwashyiriweho u Rwanda) was an international court established in November 1994 by the United Nations Security Council in Resolution 955 in order to judge people responsible for the Rwandan genocide and other serious violations of international law in Rwanda, or by Rwandan citizens in nearby states, between 1 January and 31 December 1994. The Ames Moot Court Competition is the annual upper level moot court competition at Harvard Law School. It is designed and administered by the HLS Board of Student Advisers and has been in existence since 1911, when it was founded by a bequest in honour of the erstwhile dean of the School who had died the year before, James Barr Ames. Cases take place in a hypothetical United States state named Ames.
