Marc Del Gaizo
Marc Douglas Del Gaizo (born October 11, 1999) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born and raised in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, New Jersey, Del Gaizo graduated in 2018 from Ridge High School. Playing career Del Gaizo was drafted 109th overall by the Predators in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He started the 2023–24 season with the Milwaukee Admirals accumulating 1 assist in 5 games. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 5, 2019, and was intended to conclude with the Frozen Four in April 2020. This would have been the 73rd season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and was US college hockey's 126th year overall. However, the postseason tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February, seven members that had previously announced their withdrawal from the WCHA following the 2020–21 season announced that they were reforming the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, and that the new conference would begin play with the 2021–22 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA, along with several conferences, decided to ban spectators from attending many of the games played after March 10, 2020, including the 2020 Frozen Four. Hockey East
The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Hockey East came into existence in 1984 for men's hockey when most of its current members split from what is today known as ECAC Hockey, after disagreements with the Ivy League members. The women's league, the WHEA, began play in 2002. The 2017–18 USHL season was the 39th season of the United States Hockey League as an all-junior league. The regular season ran from October 6, 2017, to April 14, 2018. The regular season champions, the Waterloo Black Hawks, were awarded the Anderson Cup. The playoff champions, the Fargo Force, were awarded the Clark Cup. League changes The Bloomington Thunder were rebranded as the Central Illinois Flying Aces. While the alignment remained the same from the previous season, the league increased the number of teams that qualify for the playoffs from eight to twelve. The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is an American Tier III Junior ice hockey league with teams in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. The Rockets Hockey Club, or New Jersey Rockets, are a junior ice hockey organization from Bridgewater, New Jersey. They play in the National Collegiate Development Conference, Premier Division, and Elite Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) at the Prudential Center, also home to the New Jersey Devils of the NHL. The Muskegon Lumberjacks are a Tier I junior ice hockey team in the Eastern Conference of the United States Hockey League. They play in Muskegon, Michigan, at Mercy Health Arena. The Lumberjacks replaced the International Hockey League franchise (IHL) of the same name, which relocated to Evansville, Indiana, at the end of the 2009–10 IHL season.
