Marc Brown Studios is a TV production company. Following the air of '' Arthur's Perfect Christmas'', the Christmas special of the hit cartoon series ''Arthur'', Marc Brown Studios was formed by Marc Brown in 2000 nationwide in the US. Marc Brown is the writer of the original ''Arthur'' book series that inspired the TV show. Starting in July 2003, Marc Brown Studios produced ''Postcards from Buster''. Arthur Read
Arthur Timothy Read is a fictional anthropomorphic aardvark created by American author Marc Brown. He is in the third grade and lives in the fictional city of Elwood City. Physical appearance Arthur is an anthropomorphic aardvark. In Brown's first ''Arthur'' book, ''Arthur's Nose'' (1976), Arthur is shown with a long nose and resembles an actual aardvark, though as the books progressed (as seen in the first season of ''Reading Rainbow'' in its 13th episode, ''Arthur's Eyes'') and eventually became an animated TV series. The character's most recognizable form is a light brown, slanted face with small ears and nostrils with signature round brown-rimmed eyeglasses. ''Postcards from Buster'' is a live-action/animated children's television series that originally aired on PBS. It is a spin-off of the ''Arthur'' TV series. The show stars Arthur's best friend, 8-year-old anthropomorphic rabbit Buster Baxter. Based by a backdoor pilot episode of ''Arthur'' entitled "Postcards from Buster", the television series was created by Cookie Jar Group (now known as WildBrain), WGBH Boston and Marc Brown Studios. The pilot was aired on December 22, 2003 as an episode of Arthur. The official series aired from October 11, 2004 to February 20, 2012, on PBS Kids and PBS Kids Go!. Marc Brown (author)
Marc Tolon Brown (born November 25, 1946) is an American author and illustrator of children's books. Brown writes as well as illustrates the ''Arthur'' book series and is best known for creating that series and its numerous spin-offs. The names of his two sons, Tolon Adam and Tucker Eliot, have been hidden in all of the ''Arthur'' books except for one. He also has a daughter named Eliza, whose name appears hidden in at least two books. He is a three-time Emmy award winner; the ''Arthur'' TV series adapted from the books was named number one on PBS for three years (1997, 2000, 2001). He also served as an executive producer on the show during seasons ten through twenty-five. He currently lives in Hingham, Massachusetts.
