Marc Bertrán
Marc Bertrán Vilanova (born 22 May 1982) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He appeared in 119 La Liga games over nine seasons, in representation of Espanyol, Cádiz, Tenerife and Osasuna. He added 203 and six goals in the Segunda División, with five clubs. Club career Born in La Pobla de Segur, Lleida, Catalonia, Bertrán began playing football for his local club as future FC Barcelona's Carles Puyol before him. He finished his development in RCD Espanyol's academy and played once for the first team in 2001–02, going on to make a further 16 La Liga appearances over the next two seasons; in the second part of 2004–05, he served a relegation-ending loan spell at Córdoba CF in the Segunda División. La Pobla De Segur
La Pobla de Segur is a municipality located in the comarca of Pallars Jussà, province of Lleida, Catalonia, in northern Spain. According to the 2013 census (INE), the town has a population of 3,073 inhabitants. It is situated at the confluence of the Flamicell and Noguera Pallaresa rivers in the north of the ''comarca'', above the Sant Antoni reservoir. It is an important local service centre, which has allowed it to escape the depopulation which has affected many municipalities in northwestern Catalonia. The 2009–10 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th La Liga since its establishment. The 2008–09 Segunda División season (known from that season as Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 30 August 2008, and the season ended on 21 June 2009. Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia and Levante were the teams relegated from La Liga the previous season. Alicante, Girona, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano were the teams promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The 2001–02 La Liga season, the 71st since its establishment, started on 25 August 2001 and finished on 11 May 2002. As of 2022, this is the last season that neither Barcelona or Real Madrid placed among the top two in the league table.
