Manuel Marchena
Manuel Marchena Gómez is a Spaniards, Spanish judge and prosecutor. He currently serves as Supreme Court of Spain, Magistrate of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court. Biography Marchena was born in Las Palmas. He studied in General Alonso High School of Laayoune, in the Spanish Sahara and in the San Ignacio de Loyola School of Las Palmas. He graduated in Law from the University of Deusto, Bilbao, in 1981, obtaining the highest score in the degree exam (with Honors). He received his doctorate in Law from the University of La Laguna in 1991, also obtaining the highest score, cum laude. He developed most of his judicial career in the Provincial Court of Las Palmas, the High Court of Justice of Madrid and the Supreme Court. He has been also prosecutor, working in the Technical Secretariat of the Spanish Attorney General#Attorney General's Office, Attorney General's Office and in the Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court. The Most Excellent
The Most Excellent (Spanish: ''Excelentísimo Señor'' (male) or ''Excelentísima Señora'' (female), literally "Most Excellent Sir/Madam") is an honorific prefix that is traditionally applied to certain people in Spain and certain Spanish-speaking countries. Following Spanish tradition, it is an '' ex officio'' style (the holder has it as long as they remain in office, in the most important positions of state) and is used in written documents and very formal occasions. The prefix is similar (but not equal) to that of " His/Her Excellency", but in the 19th century "The Most Excellent" began to replace the former. The use of the prefix Excellency was re-introduced in Francoist Spain by '' Generalísimo'' Francisco Franco himself, who was formally styled as '' Su Excelencia el Jefe del Estado'' ("His Excellency The Head of State"), while his ministers and senior government officials continued using the prefix "The Most Excellent".
