Manuel Amechazurra
Manuel Amechazurra was a Philippine-born Spanish footballer who played as a defender. His nickname was Amecha. He is best known for his second spell at FC Barcelona, playing a total of 137 games in the first team and scoring 20 goals. Amechazurra was one of the most important figures in the amateur beginnings of FC Barcelona, serving as its captain for 5 years between 1909 and 1914, and thus playing a crucial role in Barça's huge sporting success of the early 1910s, winning four championships in Catalonia, three Copa del Reys in Spain and four Pyrenees Cups in a row. Due to disagreements between the Royal Spanish Football Federation ( es, Real Federación Española de Fútbol, RFEF) and some clubs, in 1913 two parallel competitions were held: an "official", organized by the FEF (Federación Española de Fútbol), in Madrid and an "unofficial", organized by the UECF (Unión Española de Clubes de Fútbol), in Barcelona. 1912 Copa Del Rey
The Copa del Rey 1912 was the eleventh staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 31 March 1912, and concluded on 12 April 1912, with the final, held at the Industria Stadium in Barcelona, in which FC Barcelona lifted the trophy for the second time ever after a 2–0 victory over Sociedad Gimnástica thanks to goals from Alfredo Massana, Pepe Rodríguez. Six teams were planned to take place in the tournament, but Athletic de Bilbao and Academia de Infantería withdrew just before the start of the tournament. José Rodríguez (footballer, Born 1889)
José Rodríguez Vázquez (20 August 1889 - 1972), also known as Pepe Rodríguez, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona. In his first season at Barcelona (1909–10), Pepe won all the titles at stake: The Catalan championship, Copa del Rey and Pyrenees Cup, and he was fundamental in Barça's triumphs as he netted the winning goal in both cup finals. Pepe scored in both cup finals in 1912 as well. In 1912, he was part of the first-ever team fielded by the Catalan national team in an international match recognized by FIFA. Percival Francis Wallace Midgley (1890 – 17 November 1949) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. His older brother, Charles, also played for Barcelona. Club career Born in Saffron Walden, his family moved to Barcelona when he was still a child. Charles Wallace Midgley
Charles William Wallace Midgley (20 January 1885 – 13 December 1942) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. Along with his younger brother, Percival, he was part of the first great team of FC Barcelona, with whom he scored 105 goals in just 102 matches, although this tally includes goals scored in friendlies and unofficial games. Alfredo Massana
Alfredo Massana Urgellés (27 July 1891 - 24 March 1924), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Espanyol and FC Barcelona. He had a great placement and vision of the game. Known as a great dribbler, he was one of the best Catalan midfielders of his time. His brother, Santiago Massana, also played for Espanyol and Barcelona. Francisco Bru
Francisco Bru Sanz (12 April 1885 – 10 June 1962), also known as Paco Bru, was a Spanish football player, referee and manager. As a footballer he played as a striker and midfielder for FC Internacional and as a defender for FC Barcelona, RCD Español and the Catalan XI. After retiring as a player, Bru became a referee and took charge of the 1916 and 1917 Copa del Rey finals. He later became the first ever manager of Spain, guiding them to the silver medal at the 1920 Olympic Games.
