Manu Bennett
Jonathan Manu Bennett (born 10 October 1969) is a New Zealand actor. He is primarily known for portraying characters in epic fantasy works, such as Crixus in the TV series ''Spartacus'', Allanon in '' The Shannara Chronicles'', Slade Wilson / Deathstroke in ''Arrow'', and Azog the Defiler in '' The Hobbit trilogy''. Early life Bennett was born in New Zealand in 1969. His mother Jean Bennett was an Australian bikini model and father Ted Bennett a New Zealand singer. She won the award for best new artist at the 13th Japan Record Awards and won the Japan Music Award in 1972. Robert Chuter is an Australian theatre director, film director, producer, writer, and actor. Early life Robert John Chuter was born on 23 April 1964 in Carlton, Victoria, Australia, the only son of Rita Spalding and British emigrant Harry Chuter. Career In 1976, Chuter worked with a touring company led by Lindsay Kemp and cites the experience as one of his inspirations for becoming involved in theatre direction.
