Shenandoah is a city in Page and Fremont counties in Iowa, United States. The population was 4,925 at the time of the 2020 U.S. Census. Once referred to as the "seed and nursery center of the world," Shenandoah is the home to Earl May Seed Company and the radio station KMA, founded by Earl E. May. The early live radio stations gave many performers their start, including The Everly Brothers and Charlie Haden. Manti ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Sanpete County, Utah, Sanpete County, Utah, United States. The population was 3,276 at the 2010 United States Census. Description Manti was the first community in Utah to be settled outside the Wasatch Front and served as the hub for the formation of many other communities in Central Utah. Manti National Forest
Manti National Forest was established as the Manti Forest Reserve by the General Land Office in Colorado and Utah on May 29, 1903 with . After the transfer of federal forests to the U.S. Forest Service in 1905, it became a National Forest on March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1915 Nebo National Forest was added. On November 11, 1941, La Sal National Forest was added. On August 28, 1958 the name was changed to Manti-La Sal National Forest. Manti's lands are on the west side of the Colorado River in central Utah, between Manti and Price. In descending order of area, its lands are located in parts of Sanpete (50.3%), Emery (28.96%), Utah (12.59%), Carbon (4.11%), and Sevier (4.05%) counties. As of 30 September 2008 its area was 735,358 acres (2,975.9 km²), representing 57.87% of the combined Manti-La Sal National Forest's total area. Manti Malietau Louis Te'o ( ; born January 26, 1991) is an American football linebacker who is a free agent. Te'o played college football at Notre Dame, where he was a consensus All-American and received eight national awards. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and played in the NFL until 2021. In 2012, Te'o became the victim of a major catfishing scandal when Naya Tuiasosopo created a fake online persona named Lennay Kekua with whom Te'o became romantically involved. Harri Kalervo Mänty (born 31 July 1971 in Västerås) is a Sweden Finnish musician and former member of the now discontinued Swedish rock band Kent. Mänty joined the band in 1996 to replace Martin Roos and remained until 2006. In the band, he played guitar and percussion. Mänty is a music graduate. Before joining Kent, he was the vocalist for hardcore punk/crust punk band No Security. In 1993 they released the record ''When the Gist is Sucked from the Fruit of Welfare, the ugly faces of truth show'', which contained all that the band had recorded with record label Lost & Found. Manti Utah Temple
The Manti Utah Temple (formerly the Manti Temple) is the fifth constructed temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Located in the city of Manti, Utah, it was the third Latter-day Saint temple built west of the Mississippi River, after the Mormons' trek westward. (The St. George and Logan Utah temples preceded it.) The Manti Temple was designed by William Harrison Folsom, who moved to Manti while the temple was under construction. The temple dominates the Sanpete Valley, and can be seen from many miles. Like all Latter-day Saint temples, only church members in good standing may enter. Manti High School
Manti High School is a public high school located in Manti, Utah, United States, and is part of the South Sanpete School District. Students from Manti, Ephraim, and Sterling attend the school. It is fed by Ephraim Middle School, which is in turn fed by Ephraim Elementary School and Manti Elementary School. History and traditions Manti High School was founded as a one-year high school in 1905, at the time the southernmost high school in the state. About 75 to 80 students from throughout central and southern Utah attended. Classes initially held in the tabernacle owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but by 1906 a dedicated white brick building was completed for the high school. By 1909 it expanded to a four-year school. Manti high school was moved to a second dedicated building in 1923.
