Albert Manteca Buldo (born 10 June 1988) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward. Club career Born in Begues, Province of Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Manteca joined FC Barcelona's youth setup in 2006, aged 18, after playing for CF Damm and UE Castelldefels. He made his senior debuts with Burgos CF's reserves in the 2007–08 campaign, in the lower leagues. Manteca was promoted to the latter's main squad in the 2008 summer, but was subsequently released and went on a trial at Club Atlético Lanús in November. However, nothing came of it and he started training with Segunda División B's CF Gavà in March 2009, signing a contract in July. Jon Manteca Cabañes, better known as Cojo Manteca (Manteca, the cripple) ( Mondragón, Guipúzcoa, 1967 - Orihuela, Alicante, May 25, 1996), was a person elevated to media icon in the late 1980s in Spain after the publication of photographs and videos that showed him smashing street furniture in a student demonstration in January 1987. Biography He was born in Mondragón (Guipúzcoa) in 1967. On January 26, 1983, when he was 16, an electric shock caused him to fall from a pylon which he had climbed. Because of the wounds caused by the electricity and fall, he lost a leg and suffered severe head injuries, including a great scar across his head from side to side. Manteca (Spanish for "lard") is a city in San Joaquin County, California. The city had a population of 83,498 as of the 2020 census. History Manteca is a city in the Central Valley of California, located east of San Francisco. It was founded in 1861 by Joshua Cowell. Cowell claimed around and built houses on what is now the corner of Main and Yosemite, where Bank of America now stands. In 1873, the Central Pacific Railroad laid track directly through the area. The residents wanted to refer to their new train station as "Cowell Station", but there was already a Cowell Station near Tracy.
