Mansions On The Moon
Mansions on the Moon was an American band from Los Angeles, California. History The group was formed by Ted Wendler on guitar and vocals, Ben Hazlegrove on keyboards, and Lane Shaw on drums. Both Shaw and Hazlegrove were also members of Pnuma Trio. In 2010, the group released the debut mixtape, ''Paradise Falls'', presented by Diplo and DJ Benzi. ''Hypetrak'' called the group one of the "most interesting recording artists to have emerged this year." ''Paradise Falls'' includes collaborations with Xaphoon Jones (of Chiddy Bang) and Big Gigantic, among others. Pharrell Williams served as executive producer on the group's 2012 EP, ''Lightyears''. The group has produced official remixes for Foster the People and Zee Avi, and produced the Mac Miller track "PA Nights" on the album ''Blue Slide Park''. ''Blue Slide Park'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Mac Miller. It was released on November 8, 2011, by Rostrum Records. The album is named after a section of Frick Park (known as "Blue Slide Park") in Pittsburgh, near where Miller lived. Much of the production was handled by ID Labs, and the album has no guest appearances. Despite ''Blue Slide Park'' receiving mixed reviews from critics, it debuted at number one on the US ''Billboard'' 200 with 144,000 sales, making it the first independently-distributed debut album to top the chart since 1995. Frédérick Falke () (born 7 January 1973), known professionally as Fred Falke, is a French house and dance music producer and DJ. Biography Falke started out as a bass player before moving to production work. His first record, a collaboration with Alan Braxe named ''Intro'', which sampled The Jets' 1987 hit " Crush on You", was released in 2000 on Vulture Music. The pair would form a very productive partnership releasing a handful of singles and later making remixes for Goldfrapp, Röyksopp, Kelis, Justice, and others. Ryan Loftsgaarden (born May 19, 1988), commonly known by his stage name Ryan Lofty, is an American producer, composer and songwriter. Career Early beginnings Lofty was introduced to piano and trumpet at a young age by his mother, who is a piano teacher. A near-death accident at the age of 15 inspired him to pursue music as a career. He studied music business at Columbia College Chicago during which time he held an internship at a small record studio. After college Lofty worked as a composer at Disney's creative campus in Los Angeles eventually leaving to facilitate a songwriting contract in India.
